Filming 13/11/10

So we filmed today! There were problems, but we got a whole scene done. Which is something I’m very proud of.  We met at the park at 1:30 (well I did, as usual the actors were late) and I began to look for the best foresty area. We planned to shoots scenes 5 and 6, shooting scene 6 first due to scheduling, but by the time we reached scene 5, my terrible little camera decided that it would run out of charge after a full night’s charge. Little prat.
Anyways, I called Kyle and begged him to come act, I needed him. So he came -though in a bit of a rush- and we filmed scene 6, both actors great.

Orsay (Jennifer) and Thorin (Kyle) in Scene 6

So Kyle left (the duty of work calling), and we moved on to Scene 5 (keep with the order). This was Megan’s big crying scene, and to me, the most important scene in the episode, as it conveys the grief and guilt of murder, the strong bond of friendship and also some thoughts on what could be in the Elder Wand (also my chance to do some After-Effecting. Unfortunately, my camera didn’t care about what this meant to me, it ran out of battery. And the good shots of scene 5 we did get, would have to be re-shot on the  next shoot. Voldemort’ Law.  We did have fun though. Well I did. And Megan snapped some awesome pictures:

There was an outcome to the day, which was good.  And I can edit a whole other scene now, which is good. So, stay tuned, and though I don’t think there will be an episode out by November 19, there will be an episode out at some point. That’s all folks.

Toil and Trouble Filming

Over the past few weeks, we have been organising and cancelling shots. The actors are always changing their availability *cough cough* -Megan- *cough cough* -Jennifer-. But hopefully we will be filming next week, and there will be an episode out on November 19.

In other news, the slayer kit has arrived. Which means stakes, crosses and holy water. Yay!!!

On Hold!

The Elder Ghost is currently on hold due to cast/crew members being temporarily unavailable. But that hasn’t stopped us from working on the project! We’ve been doctoring the script, choreographing fight scenes and duels, and working on plot arcs for the future! Don’t forget to spread the word! Adiós muchachos!

Wands!

So the character wands have been ordered. Here they are:

The Story So Far…

We’ve all been working hard on the show since we filmed on Sunday 4th Spetember, some of us even before then.

Megan, who plays Artemis was obviously very busy that Sunday being the lead role. There was also an incident where Megan opened a two litre bottle of lemonade and it exploded giving her the full blast. Though sticky for the rest of the shoot, Megan bravely continued acting, her only complaint being that of her eye-liner’s slight distortion. Since then she’s been drawing the character’s of the series in manga from (her speciality). We’re thinking of adapting her drawings into t-shirt designs for us all.

Jennifer, who acts as the role of Orsay, Artemis’ best friend, seemed to know her lines completely off by heart. There was only one line, however, she just couldn’t say. You will see all 15 bloopers of that line soon.

Kyle, who’s role as Thorin will be introduced in Episode Two, supplied us with the wand that saved the day on Sunday. He’s also helping me and the rest brainstorm for future plots and plot arcs.  We’re looking forward to seeing him act in his awesome trench coat next time we film.

Hannah’s helpful hands held (<tongue tier) our light on Sunday making sure that everything in shot could be seen clearly. She managed to snap a photo of Megan soaked in Lemonade.

Claire, co-producer and actor has been extremely helpful. She managed to record every line on Sunday with our handy little recording gadget. Claire also helped me carry everything to the location earlier in the day whilst our actors were still sound asleep and snugly. In the middle of the shoot however, we discovered Claire’s bag (holding some valuables) had been misplaced sending us all into a frenzy of panic. It transpired that a kind woman called Lyn had picked up Claire’s bag after seeing it  in the middle of the field (even though we happened to be right next to it ???). Claire got back her bag later that evening.

I (Sean) have been busy organising the whole thing: writing the script, thinking of ideas, creating keeping the Twitter and Facebook pages up to date, posting vids on the YouTube channel, editing what we’ve filmed so far, adding in special effects, finding the money for props, finding the time to film, scouting for locations, and slowly falling asleep as I do this simultaneously. I’m am completely sure, however, that whole thing will pay off.

So that’s what we’ve done. Now it’s time for your job. Share us, tell your friends, family, mortal enemies, evil monkeys in closets, everyone that you can! With your help we can get more video views, more followers and likes, more long-term fans. So that’s the story so far. Meanwhile check out the Facebook and Twitter pages (links in the sidebar >)and go subscribe to the Youtube channel! Thanking you and falling asleep. -zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
